The Races

The Osier are the strongest of the many races, and the oldest and most attached to magic. They are dragons, enormous creatures that can reach up to two hundred feet in length. An Osier can live for two thousand years and breath fire. These creatures love treasure and knowledge nearly above all else, and their magic power is frightening to even the oldest and most powerful Ardelin.
The Lazlene, or dwarves, are a race of builders, craftsmen, soldiers, kings, and a universally solemn disposition. They view the other races with suspicion as the Gruoe and Orcoe attempt to steal their riches and the Broccan look at their subterranean treasures and amazing ingenuity with suspicion and jealously.
The Gruoe, or orcs, are a race that seem very related to the Orcoe. Their cultures and traditions have in many ways merged into one, although crucial differences exist in their combat styles. While the much less numerous Orcoe can crush many times their number of Gruoe, the Gruoe rely on their high birthrates and hordes in order to achieve victory.
The Orcoe, or ogres as the common people call them, are a powerful race of myth. They are the weakest of these races, and yet still powerful in their own way. They stand roughly eight feet tall and can live for up to two hundred years. The Orcoe are nomads with little sense of art or civilization beyond the savage past of their ancestors.
